It’s just about that time of year again, Victorias Secret Paris 2016 is right around the corner, December 5th to be exact. I mean haven’t you seen the countless #trainlikeanangel hashtags? I don’t know about you but my instagram feed is filling up with pics and videos of these girls working their butts off for this years Victoria’s Secret Paris show.
One thing I have to say is I’m really impressed with the level of training these girls are putting in. It’s not just about skinny anymore, it’s about a healthy toned figure and clean eating. Hopefully the fashion industry is taking a step in the right direction to promoting a healthy body image – these girls would not even be able to attempt the level of training they are demonstrating without fuelling themselves with a healthy diet.
Here are some of the girls Victoria’s Secret training tips.
Adriana Lima say’s boxing is her preferred fitness regime – it’s a full body workout that improves coordination.
Leomie Anderson chooses to run weighted workouts to tone and strengthen – think weighted crunches, squats and leg lifts.
Kelly Gale praises ‘Smooth Sliders’ but what the heck are they? Basically, they are round discs that you can place under your feet or hands that slide easily on the ground, increasing core engagement with exercises. Tip: We are told you can get the same effect with paper plates (no, really).
After reading a bunch of #trainlikeanangel workouts the number one key to achieving your body goals is a tailored workout. All of the Victoria’s Secret trainers emphasise the importance of a training routine that works with your body type.
