The day I discovered the show Sex and the City is the day I fell in love with apartment living. Apartment living in New York in particular, because of course like most teenagers as soon as I turned 18 that’s where I was moving to become famous.
Little did I know that the Carrie Bradshaw apartment on my Gelare salary (yes the ice cream and waffle store #notapromotion #justfacts) at the time, was not a viable option. So I decided to push back my NY apartment dream and like all responsible adults go to university and get a degree to pay for my dream lifestyle.
Long story short I didn’t move to New York, I completed my degree (not in acting or anything fame worthy) and am still in love with apartment living.
Hands up who’s guilty of scanning Pinterest for hours looking at colour schemes and interior designs that look like they’ve come straight out of a Vogue magazine. Hola at me. I have a Pinterest album filled with Scandinavian minimalist interiors, random palm trees in concrete grey pots and thin black framed artwork (not hung but artistically leaning against the wall on the floor. Details.)
I was recently asked to check out the designs to one of the newest apartment developments going up in West Perth and be apart of the filming of the commercial. I am now officially 3/4 of my way on to becoming the Australian Carrie Bradshaw.
Check out the latest apartment development to hit West Perth – Aire by Finbar. I mean how cool would it be to say “I live in the Upper West Side” apartments. Almost cooler than Carrie Bradshaw. Almost.
Ps I may have a cameo in the video above.
Here is some drool worthy interior inspiration I have been hoarding since I discovered Pinterest.
