We’ve all seen the endorsement from smoothies to teas, promising a sure fire way on how to get a flat stomach fast. While some of these methods may work there are some simple things that you can start doing at home to ensure a flatter stomach within a week. Check them out below.
1.Start talking your probiotics, daily! Probiotics are the good bacteria that reside in your digestive tract helping to digest your meals efficiently. If these become depleted the bad bacteria can take over (anyone seen the inner health plus ads?) which can cause inflammation. A higher amount of bad bacteria in your stomach means inefficient digestion which can potentially lead to more weight gain than someone else with higher levels of good bacteria eating the same amount and exercising that same length of time. Whether it be a daily probiotics tablet or ensuring you are eating more foods that boost the good bacteria such as yoghurt, this is an important key to a flatter stomach and less bloating.
2.Reduce your salt intake. We may not realize that some of the foods we are eating contain high levels of sodium. This includes many packaged foods, like bottled sauces and package mixes. High levels of salt in your diet causes your body to retain water leading to bloating so try reducing your intake for a flatter stomach.
3.Do more workouts with equipment such as a swiss fitness ball or TRX straps as they can cause a higher level of instability during the exercise which means your abdominal muscles will need to contract harder to maintain balance.
