Are you ready for a life changing tip that will blow your mind? Cue opening segue. Many years back after I decided I was no longer the girly girl with long hair and opted for the chop, I was tying my hair up into the infamous top knot and realised all I had to work with was a pathetic little sprout. Disastrous. This tiny little mound did not have the same effect of a glorious full bodied bun (and did nothing for my height). But before I devastate you with sadness, my friends, this story has a happy ending. All you need is a brush.
Now listen carefully because I tend to speak very quickly when I get excited.
1. Tie your hair in your usual super high pony tail, make sure it is secure.
2. Grab a good brush, lift the pony tail by the ends of the hair above your head and tease.
3. Tease like you never have before! (I just say this for effect because technically you will have needed to tease before to know what you are doing.)
4. Secure your matted heaven as you would a bun. Beware you NEED bobby pins that look like this, in all seriousness please refer to code AZ H004 on the chart below. Very professional we is.
Next time someone asks you “How for art thou bun so big and high?” You reply, “All you need is a brush and a good set of hair pins, buddy.”
